I'm about to become a professional dog trainer in schutzhund. And I want a Belgian Malinois, but I'm concerned with furture trouble of finding a place to live. Are they on the hit list or are they still too rare?

What breeds that are suitible for schutzhund aren't on that damn list?

Yea, I know that breeds have near nothing to do with aggression levels and I know that dogs trained to protect are going to do just that. ;) Thanks so much for the answers - I just get so...well, pissed is a good word, but I need a place to live. Specific websites with legislation information are greatly welcomed, especially in PA and AZ.

I have Malinois and so far (thankfully) they are not on the hit list. Just use caution. As you know, dogs "trained" to bite are a whole different animal than you casual pet and the legal system will see it that. way. Protect your Mal and don't let him get into any "difficult" situations.

I did a quick Google search for "Breed Legislation" and came back with some links (below) As far as I can tell, it really depends on where you live. Some places prohibit dogs on "the list" and some don't. There's also a study being done by the Penn school of Vet. Medicine - link below, too. They have found, so far, that a dog's breed has nothing to do with levels of aggression.
