By default, LimeWire will tell you when a new version is available.
There is a newer version available, it's 4.12.6. Since only the last number has changed, this will be a small update that will fix only one or two small bugs, rather than a major update.
ALWAYS download new versions from www.limewire.com - NOWHERE ELSE. Sadly, some rogues have been known to take the proper LimeWire software, repackage it with spyware, and put it for download on their own site, which is built to look just like the real one.
Always download programs from the official sites for clean downloads and best results.

Please don't use limewire. Use torrent sharing instead. Much faster and more reliable.
I suggest utorrent.
