I recently came home from Iraq, and my wife whom I was suppose to beable to trust was not here. She opened accounts in her own name and wrote checks out of our account to it, she even managed to get my payroll out of my account the day after i returned leaving me zilch. She bought a truck that i would not have done because it was double the payments of our car, she loaned her parents money that i would not have done, I could go on forever. I know there are laws protecting the eldely from being cleaned out and recourse if they did, but what about us military? You are suppose to trust your spouse.

Contact legal aid with your branch of the military. They should be able to help. Especially if they helped you issue the POA. I am sorry about the issues with your wife. You deserve better treatment. BTW, thank you for serving our country.

wow that is really low!!Was she terribly upset with you for some reason? see only you would know that....but, no matter what, there is no excuse for that, here you are fighting for your country, she should have been more supportive....how long were you married....if I were you I'd see a lawyer, but I don't know the type of power of attorney you gave her....that she could even get your payroll....this sounds very shady...Hope you can get some help soon and resolve this issue with your wife...Don't wait another minute see a lawyer you just might have a case there especially since you were in the service.Good Luck and God Bless you. And may God help her for she does not know what she is doing.

did you give her a "blank check" to do as she wished or did you tell her, here is my power of attorney to pay the bills and emergencies?
no matter who she is she is not allowed to spend money that you didn't allow her to.
if i were you i'd consult a lawyer on the double!!!
good luck!

If her name is on the account she can take whatever she wants out of it. When you are married everything is considered "ours" not mine and yours. But what she did is very low.
