Hi! Kulfi is Indian ice cream made by boiling down cream until it is thick and delicious..... the Falooda part (get more details, pls... I am away from my recipes ....) is made of a vermicelli soaked in water and flavored with Tukmaria seeds or, reasonably enough,
Falooda seeds and a little strawberry syrup .... If you want the recipe, just search NDTVCooks.com which is a website in New Delhi... they have a lot of recipes, and seemingly dependable ...
It seems to me that at one time Falooda was a dessert on its own and the addition of ice cream, the Kulfi part, is recent...
I hope this is helpful. It reminds me of the time I kept hearing "Fazoolya" which turned out to be green beans cooked with tomato, belonging to Armenian cuisine ... I was hoping for something less prosaic! Anyway .... Cheers!

Falooda is very popular throughout North India and Pakistan and is easily available in hotels and on beach stalls. A variant is falooda kulfi, where falooda and kulfi are served together with a syrup. The most common flavour added to falooda is rose, which is taken from the syrup.
