There were times in my life that I was so driven toward edge, all I could think about was suicide. Fortunately I am still alive but it has been painful experiences.
I often wonder why life has to be so hard like this. If I could just lead ordinary, happy life like normal people, I would be content without rich and fame.
But there are so many things going wrong in my life such as severe depression and lust problem. They hampered my life so much despite my efforts.
I know everyone has problems. But I only wish my problems were manageable and not so debilitating. I also wonder why God even put me in this world to go through terrible pains like this in the first place.
I hope somehow God talks to me to put an end to this painful suffering called "life."
Everyday is too painful to get by when you even get verbally abused by ur own parents.
Why did God put me in this world in the first place if life is to be this unbearable? I am lost at understanding God's intentions for me.

Think about it this way. Before you come here to earth, you have a talk with you Heavenly Father. He asks you what you would like to learn. You tell him....I'd like to learn to be brave, or I'd like to learn the meaning of love... or maybe you tell him a list of things. Doesn't matter, He tells you, that is a noble thing to ask...but maybe you are biting off a little more than you can chew. How bout just learning this one thing for now...but you are so excited about coming to earth you don't realize how hard it is really going to be. Maybe He can't talk you out of it (we do have our agency ya know) So He say's ok, if that is what you want. When we get here, we wonder why life is so hard. The things that are hard for you are they YOUR fault? Is it because of decisions YOU made? Those are lessons we learn the hard way. The things that happen to us that is totally not our fault is ment to be. It is because there is a path you need to go down to learn something you wouldn't learn any other way. I always was afraid to commit suicide because I thought God would tell me "I tried to tell you it was going to be hard, but nooooo you wouldn't listen to me, now get your butt back down there and do it again, until you do it right." lol I would hate to have to do this sh*t all over again. I'm going to stick it out until He calls me home. He is always there ya know. If you think about it, Only the strong spirits can handle the really bad crap. You must be a really strong spirit...

As far as specific problems -

Do your best to overcome your problems on your own - try to figure it out...for example you mentioned a "lust problem" - here is one possible idea: try to get "boundaries" in your life that would help you- for example. Maybe level 1 boundary is to just use the computer for good websites to avoid lust..but if that isn't working then go to level 2. Which could be to use internet filtering ...or to level 3. Only use the internet around others or level 4. No use of internet or 5. no computers 6. no buildings with computers....etc...etc...but customize it to whatever temptation you are struggling with!

But also know that:
God gives us certain weaknesses, that we may be humble...and if you come unto God and have faith in Him and are humble - then He can turn your weaknesses into strengths. (pray and ask Him for help and confess your weakness and tell Him when you are at your limits and that you have done your best...and pray for His grace at that time in humility and sincerity and He will help you!)

One other idea concerning your depression and your problems is this...that sins will CAUSE depression - and if you start keeping all the commandments I believe you will receive more joy and optimism---for example if you start living the law/ commandment of chastity and break free from lust then I believe you will feel a lot better and have more joy in your life!

Let me say that I feel very sad for you...I wish you were feeling better. why is it happening ?...here are some ideas of why it might be, but of course I do not know for sure:

Perhaps the intense suffering could help you to understand the type of suffering that Jesus Christ went through for us....and help you to draw closer to Him....

or perhaps you are suffering these things that maybe you will be in a position to help others overcome these same problems later on in your life...I mean - Once you overcome them and have the answers...you could tell someone and help them make it through much quicker and easier. (and maybe help many people)

If everything went easy - you'd never learn anything or grow. It is through suffering that we become stronger, wiser. Pressure makes diamonds. Life isn't easy. Mine hasn't been either that's for sure. But you just have to keep on truckin' man and accept what IS. You want to get rid of the pain, you have to change your beliefs, look at things from a different perspective. And tell yourself that you will overcome. Suffering draws you closer to God.
Suffering draws us nearer because it is in our suffering that we call out to him. When things are going great we tend to forget about God a lot. You have to learn to count your blessings. Any kind of separation from God causes pain. The farther the distance away - the deeper the pain.
I think that's what life is - our journey away from God thinking we can do it our way - then realizing we can't and then we begin our journey back.

So glad you turned to answers for help.. first of all your life has a purpose or else you would not have been born. God wants you here for a reason. He gave you life and you have'nt the right to take that away. Suicide is a unforgivable sin so that's not going to get you to Heaven. It's just going to put an end to all of your struggles as well as put an end to you. But YOU are somebody, and there is help for you with all of your problems, and your hardships can be dealt with and become manageable. Depression and lust do not have to control your life.All of these pangs of life can become a part of your past. God does not have bad intentions for you, he loves you too much. What are your intentions for yourself do you intend to stay in the down mode that you've been in for sometime now or do you Intend to do something about it ? It's up to you. My advice to you is" Prayer changes things " Let go and let God. Get in touch with a counselor ASAP and they can help you put everything in a better perspective to enable you to understand the root of your problems and teach you ways to deal with them head on and put them behind you once and for all so you can feel like a productive person in this world. like I mentioned before YOU are somebody AND YOU NEED TO START BELIEVING IN YOURSELF.

Not that long ago, I was going through the exact same thing. I was raped, I cut myself, tried drugs, and tried commiting suicide 11 times. But one day I realized, Christians go through this kind of thing cuz Satan's trying to pull us away from our faith. Please dont give up on God. Talk to Him and let Him know what's been going on. Ask for strength. Satan knows he's going to be defeated, and his goal is to take down as many people as he can with him. The last thing he needs is another follower of Jesus.

I almost know what your going through. Suicide has crossed my mind many times. you know that saying "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger?" well ive been finding some truth in that lately. all i can tell you is that your not alone and that God is there, you just might not be listening hard enough, or your listening for the wrong thing. God put you in this world for a reason, and mabe you can't see it yet, but he does. I do not know how old you are however, please go see a pastor at a church, any church and speak with him. I also suggest if you are getting verbially abused by your parents find a children and family service, go there and speak with them personally or with the pastor with you.
