Seriously, if this is a new gal, as you put it, and you've never met before, start with a smile and introduce yourself. Confidence is attractive. Honestly, the conversation should just flow. Start with a compliment, or ask for a dance.
If she's already an aquaintance, approach her and pull a "Wow, it's so nice to bump into you here!" or something similar. If she's a friend and you like her, be assertive and ask her for a drink or a dance.

Okay since i have a lot of guy friends they usally come up to me and start talking about some funny thats happend that day...and then i start talking about something happend that day too or even that WEEK...if you don't have that much personality =// lol then juss start saying something like "So whata re you going to do over the holidays....??" or somethng that will get a conversation going!
Girls NEVER like a guy that says "yes" "no" after every question THEY ask you. So if the girl joins in on the conversation say "yes" or "no" juss say something following that. Because its boring haveing one person talking the whole time. They'd want to shoot them selves =)) ha! beleive me i've been in that incident its not that fun.

don't know.for me is better if the guy does not start a conversation at all, because they became annoying most of the times. If I like a guy I will talk too, without making him feel embraced

the best thing to say is hey how r u if they dont know u then tell them ur name trust me a girl feels alot better when guys say how r u it mean like i kinda like u

nothing to it. just come up and introduce yourself to us. tell us your name, and just start talking. there's no best thing to say to us when you guys want to start a conversation. you're generalizing---every girl has her "best thing" that she likes guys to say to start a conversation. just come up and introduce yourself. simple.

depends if you kinda know the person then just say hey whats been goin on wit you lately but if you dont know her. say hey. how are you, whats your name then take it from there cause the rest depends on where you are and what your doing
