Besides the entrepreneurs and celebrities, what do most of the people that live in NYC do as a job? I'm just curious because I was in New York City a few days ago and I would love to live there someday but it is so expensive... I want to get a job somewhere in IT and/or finance, and I think NYC offers jobs for that kind of stuff, correct?

If you want to live here and do IT and/or Finance, it is best to do the AND of the and/or. Finance IT people can make a lot. The top guys (that stay technical) can hit $400K+/year. If you really know the finance part, then the sky is the limit.

Just about any job you can think of. And yeah, they offer jobs for finance. I would like to work in the city (and possibly live there) after school.

anything and everything. i am an accountant. living in nyc is expensive. nyc offers jobs for everything. you can definitely find a job here.

All diferent knds of jobs. NYC is huge. NYC is not just Manhatten.

I'm in IT but commute from NJ. I wouldn't live in nyc unless of course it's manhattan.
