I'm not a big fan of anything fake, makeup, hair dye, tattoos, or excessive piercings.

That being said I would not judge a person based on something as small as hair dye, if it makes them feel better about themselves then go for it, although I think it would be nicer if everyone was happy with who they are without disguising it.

Some wish to dye their hair as they may not like its natural color(including wisps of grey due to old age), or may like to hide some imperfections thereon, or their boy/girl friend likes it dyed, or simply because they want to look 'modern' (fashion, aping a celebrity), or even because they want to try out something new all the time!
Personally, I agree with you that natural hair, if kept clean and well-groomed, is a great attraction, even if it turns grey in course of time. Some dyes, despite the claims of the manufacturers, may contain harmful substances which are easily absorbed by the hair - unknown to the user, these may have a slow but deletrious effect on ones health. People want to put what they feel is their 'best hair forward' and spend a lot of time and fortune on dyeing their hair. Each one to his way!

My hair is natural. Some people look better with dyed hair, as long as they maintain it. Once it starts growing out, they need to re-dye the hair again.

I dye my hair.I like the change of not having the same thing all the time.Plus, my natural color is not rich at all and has kind of a dull brown look.It just gives me a little something extra, but more than anything I think highlights are a better way to go!

It depends, if you have brown hair and dye it blond it looks nasty, If you get highlights or low-lites then it looks nice, just costly to maintain. I have brown hair and tend to dye it just a shade lighter or add a little red just to change things up a bit. I try to cover some of the grey.

Depends on the color. If someone is dying their hair to cover the grey, that's okay with me. It's something to make them feel better about themselves. If someone colors their hair blue or pink or something, I can only hope it's near Halloween. I think candy-colored hair looks bad. People color their hair to try out a new look, cover grey, just for fun. I've thought about it, but I'm too chicken.

Sometimes people dye their hair a different color to make them look younger or that new color makes them look better than their natural hair color

even though my natural hair color is dark brown, i dye my hair black because to me it makes my hair look healthier and shinier and i like the evenness of the color as opposed to the light brown and red streaks that the sun gives me during the summer.
