Your personal physician will be able to tell you if your doing alright. The eating OK, sounds like you have doubts, it never hurts to eat a little better. However, since you are 52, and haven't had any ill-fate thus far, keep on doing what keeps you comfortable. If you are in a comfort zone, then that is more important than what any health-nut could tell you on here. Keep your feet and lower back healthy. GLuck.

I'm 50, 5'8" and 190 lbs. My doc says I'm in great shape even though my weight is 15 lbs over what the BMI charts say I should weigh. Resting heart rate of 65 and BP 109/80.

When I go roller blading I get a great laugh out of these 20-30 year olds who can't keep up. Forget how old you are, have fun.

You are in great shape if your resting BPM is 55. Go to a gym and jog on a treadmill. Usually the treadmills will have a guideline for your age and what your max heart rate should be while working out. Most of the machines will also have metal hand grips that will check your heart rate for you while you work out. Get your BPM and compare to the chart and voila! then you will know! :-)
