I live on the West Coast of British Columbia and salmon is one of my all time favourite dishes. This is how I prepare my filets.
Put on a aluminium foil in a shallow baking dish.
Baste very lightly with low salt Soya Sauce
Dash of Garlic Salt or powder
Fresh Parsley
Broil and be careful not to overcook.

Note: Salmon is so flavorful, do not make the mistake of drowning the flavor with all kinds of spices or mix......

I know that people will think that I'm crazy, but the best salmon I've ever made was done in the dishwasher!! You DOUBLE wrap it in a heavy duty tin foil after adding a bit of butter, lemon juice and fresh dill. Make sure to seal the edges well, place the package on the top rack of the dishwasher and run a regular cycle. It comes out poached/steamed perfectly! DO NOT let it run through the heated drying cycle!!

My husband is the King of King Salmon in our house, but since he is at work, I'll throw in one of his recipes....
This works with Salmon steaks & fillets.

lay the fish on foil sprinkle with coarse sea salt & fresh pepper. Sprinkle with dill I place sliced onion over the top & spray with olive oil mazzola. Close the foil into a pouch & bake @ 350 til done, depending on thickness.
Serve with wedges of lemon.

During the summer he throws it on the bbq or we smoke some & I usually end up canning tons of it.

Broiling is good to, but watch it close soit does not burn or dry out.

You can cook salmon many ways. It's all about personal preference...bake, broil, fry, poach, steam, or grill. Anyway you do it is good, just don't over cook it.

Broiled. Less likely to dry out.

I get salmon steaks and place them under the broiler with lots of butter and lemon pepper seasoning until they are flakey. They always come out moist and delicious and so easy!
