I used to hear the same expression so often in Yiddish that I asked an old Russian Jew what it meant. He said, "Go kick a Goy." I thought that was pretty crumby considering all, but I needed the job. Another one was "Geh kuck offen yam." or something like that, and it meant go defecate in the ocean, and was roughly equivalent to "go to H**l."

In Japanese, it is a terrible insult to use a partiicular second person pronoun that is only used for animals, small children or social inferiors like beggars. If someone calls you "Omaison," it is a crushing insult.

Maybe only the Chinese have more wretched insults and general profanity than Americans. Just throwing down a bad card has to be accompanied by "keng!"

We use so much of it that it gradually loses it's impact. Mother is only half a word now. Our president referes to complex international matters as "All that s**t."

I once heard a faculty member publically ask a feminist professor who refused to shave her legs or underarms, if she was walking on beavers and if she had a rabi under her arms. It broke the poor woman down competely.

And one guy I knew as a kid was always saying that this or that unattractive girl was "so ugly she would gag a magot." That seemed especially unkind.

Probably we are cruelest about insults and personal wounds when we are young and vulnerable ourselves. No real gentleman would purposely wound another and certainly no true lady. It is just not done . . . very often.

I wonder why there's still no large amount of Italian insults!
we've got plenty of expressions , and they can differ from region to region . Romans are known for their imagination in insulting , but since I'm not a Roman I can't write them here , I would spoil them!
I'm from North East and one very typical insult of this area is DIO CAN which means God dog,meaning God is a dog .

Then the classic ones ,valid for all Italy , are :

VAFFANCULO = **** you
CAZZO=either **** or used when something goes wrong or when something is surprising/exciting (just like in English when saying "****!) . Same thing with MERDA(=****) that can also be used as a expression
PUTTANA = whore
STRONZO/STRONZA = the former is masculine , the latter feminine . means *****

and soooooo on ( my advice is to look for some websites about Roman insults.they're just great)

Nique ta mere, I probably spelled it wrong but it's pronounced "neek ta mare"- it means f*ck you mother in French... very useful to ward of unwanted advances by French men thinking an American girl is gonna be easy.... :)

in spanish, insulting one's family or making a comment about a member of a family so just flat out saying something related to one's mom or dad is a huge insult

Literally it means, I am your daddy/ parent, depends.

so to insult spanish people just say "tu madre" = your mama in inglish
