Attaching an audio file is cool but it only plays in your computer. How can I make a powerpoint pps file with background music?? I mean those that can stand alone and can be viewed everywhere without the the software looking for the source file to play??? Just how can I include the music??

Link Sound Files Greater than _____ (make the size larger than the size of your sound file)

Better yet, do what the others suggest and save the actual sound files on your jump drive or CD along with your presentation. That's the safest way.

Powerpoint reads the music from the computer. The only way to do it is to keep the file in the same location each time. (ie C drive)

You would have to distribute the audio file to each PC that you want it to play on. You can also use an audio file that comes with say Windows XP and call that audio file from power point.

You have to save the music file on your CD disk or your internal memory stick then you can use it on any computer as long as you have the file on disk
good luck!

Click Insert from your tool bar, then 'movies and sounds'. From there, select 'sound from file'. You should have a file saved on your drive ready to be inserted.
