French speakers/those fluent in French--Can someone translate this for me?

You'll have better luck in your search if you use the correct Italian title: "Caro Mio Ben" (not Bien). The English title of this aria by composer Giuseppe Giordani is "Dearest, Believe." Unfortunately, the English lyrics seem impossible to find online. The only way to get them, apparently, is to buy the sheet music or photocopy it in a library.

You have quite a choice of Web sites where you can order it online, depending on whether you're in Canada or the U.S. For instance, it sells for US$3.95 on sheetmusicplus.com, thenotegallery.com, and activemusician.com (http://www.activemusician.com/item--HL.50279960 ). In Canada, it costs $6.95 CAD on rideaumusic.com. Or you could get it for $4.95 from a Québécois site called partitionexpress.com (be sure to order the one published by Schirmer, HL 50279960, if you want the lyrics in English as well as in Italian). I imagine that, if you order the sheet music online, you'll also have to pay a shipping fee.

Alternatively, you can register on the Repertoire Online Web site, then download the aria as a printable Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file for $1.75 (I think that's in U.S. dollars). Finally, many libraries have extensive music collections and will let you photocopy sheet music that belongs to the public domain.
