I have known him for a long time and he acts like he does...he stares at me longingly i dont know what to do!

you cant really tell if he does unless you ask becuz guys act a different way than they think so you should ask him but if you dont have then nerve the try to find a close friend that you trust to ask him for you

well he could like you or he could just be flirtatious. talk to him dont ask him if he likes you but ask him if he wants to hang out the 2 of you and if he does then he probably likes you and uh persue that =]
