I want to become a police officer?

what do I meed to do to become a police officer? What are the requirements, and age?

First is no criminal offenses other than minor traffic stuff and then do you really know what your letting yourself in for. Go on several ride along before you decide. You will find your friends will distance themselves from you fast. No weekends off no holidays and no calling in sick. Plenty of divorces and child support and getting shot at,beat up (that badge isn't bullet proof) be sure to think it over and be sure otherwise good luck

Go College study Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice. Most states the age requirement is 19, however most agencies will not hire you unless you are at least 21. After some college classes you have to go to a Police Academy and pass, then some states have a state examine you must pass. Good Luck!

To be a fully commissioned police officer, you have to be 21 by the time of graduation from the academy. The requirement to enter the police academy vary from agency to agency. Talk to your local recruiter.
