I am afraid not. You are still too young, and you would not be able to handle the repercussions that come with a relationship.
Your moms being really good friends has got nothing to do with your decision to date the guy either. Besides, if you do go on a date, the both of you may just ruin your moms' friendship in the future.

I think 12 is a little young, but like the others said try and be friends first and see where it goes from there

What's the rush? Why do you need to date anyone at 12?
Wait till you're 16 and then date. Right now, I doubt if you know what's going on at all. this is not a slam at you, it just is.
There's a saying:
"Teenagers, move out now while you still know everything"
Obviously that's a lie. If not then as your parents were teenagers once they should know everything, right? Somehow I doubt if you think your parents know much of anything.

I don't think a 12 year old should date anyone. A twelve year old isn't even a pre-teen. You need to slow down before you end up pregnant and in Jr. high.

12 years old is wayy too young to try and get involved in a serious relationship, trust me, you might like him now, but you'll regret walking into that world so early in the long run...

i think it doesnt matter if your mom are friends or not you can date a guy but if you arent allowed and you dont wanna get caught then i dont think you should
