6:30 would be 1830, and 6:45 would be 1845 hrs. Remember this, military time is based on the 24 hr system. It starts at 0001, the fist second of midnight. When 1 am rolls artound it will be 100 hrs.till you get to 1 pm, which is the 13th hour of the new day, which is why it will be 1300 hrs. It will start counting at 1301 to 1359, then 2pm becomes 1400 Hrs.

The U.S. Military uses the 24 hour time and the Julian Calendar day for many reasons, but one is that in the older days of computers it is quicker for a computer to evaluate a numerical value than convert text.

So Dec 25, 2006 = 2454094.5 or 54094 and 12:30 Noon = 1230 12:30 at night = 0030

The date and time can be combined into one number string that a computer can evaluate quicker.

Hope this helps.

Actually, 6:30pm is 18:30 and 6:45pm is 18:45.

In military time, only hours are kept differently from regular time. Minutes are kept exactly the same.

Some do and some don't Just because someone is in the military does not mean that they can't have a marraige that will last. There is a lot of stress as the husband/wife coiuld be deployed overseas, BUT that doesn't mean the marraige can't make it.

No. The hours are changed (add 12 to get mil. time, subtract 12 from mil. time to get civilian time), but the minutes stay the same. So, 6:30pm is 1830, and 6:45pm is 1845.
