Stoning is not Islamic that is a Pagan. Adultery couples don't get stoned to death, they get flogged, which isn't brutal but meant to be more embarrassing than physically harmful. Chopping off the hand of robbers, yes that is Islamic, but also apart of the Shariah law is forgiveness and acceptance of rependness. Also, there must be four witnesses to a crime or sufficient evidence.
Perhaps the crime rate would be less if the American judicial system followed Islamic law. To enforce the law, there must be a trial. Adultery is very hard to prove, and if a women is accused her promise three times is sufficient. The Shariah law is based on trials and evidence, the only really difference is robbers don't get jail time but get their hands cut off. In the Muslim world crime isn't very high and not many people are jailed.
No talking about Aghanstan, Iraq, and Plaestine they are at war and do you see the common hand among them, when Muslim countries are left alone they are moderate and democratic.

If the laws were employed when prophet was alive what punishment would follow you can judge when:

(i) He was caught red-handed by his wife while having relation with the maid servant ?
(ii) He threatened his wife for disturbing in such a noble (?) mission ?
(iii) He discovered that his wife might have passed a night with a man (which might have been endorsed by the two camel men, thus making 3 witness) and hence prescribes that in such a situation four males will be required to prove the offense, such that his wife may not get suffer from the consequences ?
(iv) He married the wife of his son ?

Shariah law is a big joke even in Saudi Arabia where it is applied to the poor only. Rich sheikhs will find some loop hole all the time.

Stoning an adulterer is a punishment that is NEVER mentioned in the Quran. Let the Quran speak for itself as to how we should erive Islamic law...

Shall I seek other than GOD as a source of law, when He has revealed to you this book fully detailed? Those who received the scripture recognize that it has been revealed from your Lord, truthfully. You shall not harbor.any doubt. The word of your Lord is complete, in truth and justice. Nothing shall abrogate His words. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient. [6:114-115] Quran

I AGREE WITH IT CUZ THAT WAY ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE SCARED OF DOING THE WRONG THING.(NO IM NOT SCREAMING, I LOVE USING CAPS). SO ANY HOW. YEA SO LIKE FOR EXAMPLE WHEN PEOPLE STEAL STUFF IN USA THEY ARE SENT TO JAIL FOR A BIT, BUT IN SAUDI U GET UR HAND CUT AFTER LIKE 2 OR 3 WARNINGS. SO THAT MAKES PEOPLE SCARED WHICH IS A GOOD THING. I HOPE U UNDERSTAND. TAKE CARE. AND MAY ALLAH GUIDE US ALL.
