This is the situation. Me and my friend are both due around the same time. She's due June 22nd ...and I'm due june 24th. We are going by our first ultra sound we both got when we were 8.5 weeks. We decided to go have a fun ultra sound to see how the babies are doing, and my baby measured to show that I'm not 12.5 weeks, I'm 13 weeks 3 days. Hers measured at 12 weeks exactly. Can our babies grow at different rates so soon? Or, am I further along that I thought. I'm so confused. Please help bog my mind. I'm sorry if this is a dumb question...this is my first pregnancy. Thank u

Babies do indeed grow at different rates than others. I wouldn't worry about it, no matter what the baby will come out when he/she is ready to whether it be a week sooner or a week later. Plus also keep in mind I heard that those for fun ultrasounds although they are neat to get, may not be too good for the baby so be careful with doing those. GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND CONGRATS

Don't be confused because your due date is not exact. It is an estimate. It can be two weeks off either way. Like your due date is june 24 but you could have your baby 2 weeks before or after that date. And when it comes to pregnancy and babies nothing is a dumb question.

The babies can be growing at different rates. I KNOW exactly when I conceived and yet my baby started measuring big pretty early on

Yes, they could grow at different rates. Remember, every child is different.
