I am very distressed by images of abortions and would like to think that fetuses do not have souls and thus do not have feelings......

That is the mainstream thought, that they do not feel and think fully because they have not yet fully developed. However if you watch the reactions of a fetus during an abortion, you can see how it becomes terrified and feels the threat of the invading instruments and struggles to move away.
Whether they feel or not or yet have souls I am no scholar on, however God blessed me with reason and thought. From what I've seen and read, it seems to me that fetuses are very much aware of what is happening. I mean this in no disrespect, but I believe some people tend to deny this so they don't quite feel as guilty for such an act.

You are right to feel distressed.
As a scientist working in this field, I can tell you that fetuses do feel pain. Pro-abortionists may tell you otherwise, but there is no doubt in my mind that they feel pain.
I have seen ultrasonic procedures of fetuses having blood and urine collected at gestational ages of 15 weeks, when abortion is quite legal, I have seen them react to the needle doing the collection. They have feelings.
Abortion is the death of a baby, not the removal of a piece of body tissue.

Sadly, I watched on the news just last week, that recently it has been discovered that fetuses do experience pain during an abortion. I'm sure the stage would determine the severity. I feel if their human, they already have a soul just like you and I.

feelings? You mean emotions. Well if you mean emotions controlled by the central nervous system with many but specific hormones that get released in the body then I would say yes, a fetus does have those. Should abortions be legal. Yes.

All forms of life have some sort of feeling, to prove this take a needle and stick it into a earth worm and watch what happens, then just imagine what happens to a fetus when it is aborted. Just remember all life forms fight for it's life when being killed.

Of course they do. There have been ultra sounds showing fetuses 7 months old playing with their genitalia.

The conscious minds of fetuses are not developed until about 6 months of pregnancy. Before that, a fetus is merely a group of cells. A soul can not live within a body that has no conscious mind, so therefore, no--a fetus has no soul.

Keep in mind, this is coming from somebody that loves babies!

I'm sorry to say this but, the sad truth is that yes, they probably do. Think about it. They kick, move, and have a heart beat just like you and me. If we do all of this and also have a soul, then don't you think that maybe they have a soul too?

I have a copy of a movie made of an abortion. In it, the child attempts to defend himself from the rotating blades. All he succeeds in doing is getting his arms chopped up first. But he DID make the attempt. Why would he do that if he didn't have feelings?
