i have a cross tatoo on my back, i was wondering if i should cover it or get a whole back piece?

It depends on what you want your whole back peice to be. i drew out a whole back peice for my buddie who then got it on his back. he had a slightly big cross on his back and wanted to remove it .
just ask the tattoo artist to blend in what ever it is that your getting on your whole back with the cross.

what would be the reason to cover it up? there must have been a reason to get it done in the first place. i don't know what it looks like, but if you want a back piece, try to incorporate it, even if your religious beliefs have changed, it's still an interesting part of your life.

Get the whole back piece or you could use it as part of the back piece. I'd have to see a picture of it.

how big is it? what color is it? could you put a link to a picture? it's hard to say what can and can't be covered up when we don't know what it looks like. i have gotten some tattoos covered up on my back and am in the process of getting a full back piece.

personally, i say cover it... i hjate tatoos. but that says nothing about you.. its your desicion. give more details and ill get back to you
