I've searched radio shack. Is there a special web site that sells these things for less than $50?

Here are some sources, but not in your price range. It looks like you should expect to spend up to $300.

E-Bay might have something used.

At those amperages, it looks like they start calling the devices "contactors" as opposed to "relays". We had a big high-current relay at a welding lab I worked at. We called it the Frankenstein relay.

I am surprised you would want to run a 100 amp load on 120 volts. Sounds like a job for 480.

120V 100A is not unusual if you are talking about a changeover circuit to feed your house from a generator in case of a power failure.
But less than $50.- ??!
Only at www.eBay.com and only if you are very lucky.

You might try a millitary surplus store like www.fairradiosales.com, they have lots of electrical goodies.
