Eye twitching can occur when one is under the influence of alcohol. Police use this to their advantage when they are screening drivers through road blocks. The police look for the tell-tale twitch in a drunk's eyes to tell whether or not the driver in under the influence.

My doctor said my eye twitched because of stress.

dont worry about it - it happens to everyone
tiredness, too much coffee or energy drinks, stress can all cause it
if it really worries you put a block of ice on it - that stops it

Many things like sand,insects,winds,dust that all flies into your eyes without you realising it.

yeah I get that whenever there is a lot of stress in my life.I call it spastic left eye
