Is it possible to get retroactive financial aid if you never filled out a Fafsa form and are now stuck with high interest non consolidatible (ph) private student loan!

No, you cannot get retroactive financial aid. They let you fill out the FAFSAs year round, eith the amount received tapering off the more time that passes...but you would not be able to file a 2005-06 FAFSA now and get the $$ for that year.

There is no such thing as a non-consolidatable loan. Any loan can be consolidated. You just need to get another loan from another back to cover the amount that you already owe.

I'd talk to your Student Aid Officer.
I'd say you MIGHT be able to get a consolidation loan from your bank; they're usually lower %age than many loans.

Than again, your loan's a legal contract. If you can't get it paid off, you're stuck with it...

Apply to another school and see if they give you financial aid. I was sent the same letter by MCC and then I applied to OCC and they awarded me financial aid sooo, just try and see. It worked for me :-) Good Luck!
