My fiance and I are getting married at the Courthouse in January 2007. He has been married 1x before. I was enagaged to be married before and I have a wedding dress that never has been worn. My fiance told me I could wear the dress when we did get married cause my deceased mom seen it and she loved it. We have one child togeather. I'm not sure if I should just wear the dress or should i wear something else? Please help!!!

It sounds like you have some reservations about wearing the dress. which is understandable. I think your mom would want you to feel comfortable and beautiful in what you wear. If you are having doubts about wearing the wedding dress then i would go shopping for something that is cute and makes you feel wonderful. There are alot of great dress out right now with all of the holiday parties and new years coming up. I think you should go at least try on a bunch and see if you find something that feels perfect. Just go with your gut.... you'll be happier looking back if you do.

First, congratulations! What an exciting time this is for you and your family. Sweetie, wear something that makes you feel beautiful. If it is the dress you've been saving (and you must have been saving it for a reason), then wear it. If you feel like shopping around first, give yourself that option as well. Maybe you can find a way to get creative and incorporate the old and the new. Whatever you do, let go of this guilt you seem to be carrying around and just concentrate on being beautiful for your special day. That's what you will both remember.

i know you must feel weird wearing a dress from a previous engagement but , you mention your deseased mother saw it an loved it so why not just wear it an remeber how happy she was when she saw it . remeber shes your angel an she will be watching. an thumbs up to your fiance for having a nice heart an telling you to wear the dress. good luck

Most people wear a regular dress or like a white suit. I don't know that I'd wear a wedding dress, its up to you. Congrats!

Is this a "county courthouse"? or a "city folk" court house?? If it's country wear the dress...
If it's city wear a pretty pale number or you will look silly.
