Last night, while doing some research, I stumbled upon this site. It looked pretty good and informative but something didn't quite seem right. Maybe it was me but the vibe seemed all wrong. It contained a link which really made me suspicious. I don't want to say what it is at this time but I'd like to know if anyone else has an opinion about the site. Thanks!

Yes, I love this site. It's really provided me with material for various apologetics--particularly on salvation and homosexuality (and that's just within the last week). I think that they are orthodox Catholics--but I do not think that there is any "official" sanctioning of the website by the Roman Catholic Church. The only "official" one I know of in America is www.usccb.org. This is the US Conference of Catholic Bishops' website. It has movie reviews (woohoo!) and a Catholic Bible and the Catechism. Great site.
Other awesome Catholic websites that I have used as reference, and like www.catholic.com, are not officially sanctioned are:
1. www.newadvent.org (lots of Church Documents, and the entire SUMMA THEOLOGICA!!! on the website)
2. www.onemoresoul.com This is a great reference for Catholic teachings on sexuality.
3. www.ewtn.com You gotta love EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network)--plus the website has an extensive Q&A section that even allows you search for previously posted questions.
I'm so curious as to what the questionable link was--please post in your final answer!!! Thanks and God bless!!!

In all seriousness, I subscribed to their magazine for years. They are a superb apologetic organization. However, as another said, there are several sites that use the term "Catholic Answers". Please check out the link I provided below to the real Catholic Answers web site.
Hope that helps. Good luck!

I'm not Roman, but I'm very Catholic...and those are generally some great folks at Catholic Answers. Their radio show is quite good.
E-mail me the link, I'd like to check it out.

If u feel that something is not right, then its your conscience telling u its not right, There are alot of websites with this banners of Catholic answers etc.... very nice too, BUT they only use it as a come on, whats inside is a direct attack on all what we believe, sad they do these things, ive come across 2-3 websites, and its good u have not posted the link. Im from the Philippines and i come across a newly publicized magazine by the Catholic Church entitled " KNOW THE TRUTH" its complete in itself 24 pages, colored pictures too, a MUST for every Catholic! too many go away from the faith for lack of something to read, for lack of people in God's vineyard to do anything, this one is very affordable....its a publication to DEFEND the CATHOLIC FAITH,written by FR.PAUL KAIPARAMBADAN- a Catholic INDIAN Priest who had his doctoral studies in the Phil. anyone interested please get in touch with my email and please either send your address too, where it would be easier for me to send it to u , by GOds Grace, ill try to give it FREE! so every Catholic that is still out there, who wan to learn more, who is struggling & would be willing to fight & defend the FAith, and will be helped. Peace. Merry Christmas!!! God bless us all.

As I know, anything without the imprimatur cannot be taken as legit.
But only as informations. Well, if it strengthens your faith to Love God more... then by all means...
After all, everything on this earth is created for your sake that you might use whatever is in it for the purpose you were created. All of us were created to love, to serve and to reverent God.
