Can you return unwanted gift cards you got as a present?

I got $150 to XM Radio from Best Buy for my birthday, but I have no interest in spending the $400 my car needs to receive xm radio transmission...so really i have no use for these giftcards?

Are they returnable if unused and with receipts?

It should not cost you anywhere near $400 to get XM in your car. A SkyFi2 is $80 and comes with everything you need. If they're trying to charge you $320 for an install, I'd ask to speak to a manager.
