The son of Elijah Muhammad who is The Founder of the Nation of Islam, a pro-African-American group who protest the treatment of African-Americans in America. Malcom x and Muhmmad Ali were apart of this religious group. Kinda like a political KKK of Islam. Elijah MUmmad came from teh middle east and told teh African-Americans who were unfamilar with the true Islam that he was the prophet of God. This movement introduce an interprtation of Islam that lead many African-Americans to authentic Islam. However some still are apart of it, W.D. Muhammad leads a group that he no longer call Nation of Islam, but true Islam, but many other Muslims believe he still holds on to the Nation of Islam traditions. Muslims disagrement with Wallace Deen Muhammad is that there is no room for racism in Islam. Most of his followers are Afrian-American and follow a different traditional to mainstream Muslims of different races including other African-Americans.
I broke away from W.D. several years ago and don't feel that is true Islam, but one manipulated to push forth the adgenda of the leader.
