We were supposed to meet after work, but he got off 35 minutes early, and couldn't wait, had stuff to do.
He said he is still attracted to me, thinks I'm cute, likes getting to see me, bla bla bla...
If he likes seeing me so much, why'd he stand me up?
Is he most likely telling the truth, or just being nice?

He sounds like he changed his mind and decided he didn't want to go out with you but didn't know how to tell you. He figures he can fib and then wait until you lose interest in him.
A guy like this isn't worth your time worrying about. Just chock it up to his loss and find someone who is into you enough to actually be excited to see you.

F*ck, when you get some good answers for this. You want to let me know? I'm going through the same problem. The guy says he likes me a lot, but whenever we go to hang out. He gets called into work? not believable. But back to you... you would have to talk to him and see how believable his excuse is. If you've never had a problem with him before about lying. More than likely he's an honest guy. So you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

I wouldn't give him a chance to do it again. Let him know you aren't going to stand for that crap. He could have waited a few more minutes. He didn't have anything planed because if he knew he was getting off early he wouldn't have agreed to meet you. He could have waited.

why would he have stuff to do if the original plan was to spend time with you? 35 minutes is no big deal to wait. He's a B-S'er. Dump him.

he could have at least had the courtesy to call you. he seems rather rude to me. He may still like you, but obviously you're not that important to him if you had a date and he blew you off without even calling.
i'd be careful with this one

did he tell you he couldn't make it? If so, he canceled, he didn't stand you up. Maybe something did come up. Try again. If you get the same result, you have your answer.

He sounds like a jerk! A jerk who ditched out of work early and then ditched you. Step aside and let him slide on by.

if he really liked you, he could have waited, it was only 35 minutes.
