No I don't think it's oncologist. oncologist specializes in diagnosing and treating cancer using chemotherapy, hormonal therapy.

To be picky, it's a hematologist, and the medical subspecially of oncology has to do with malignancies (cancer), but the postgraduate training program in the U.S. for the two is combined, and the boards (tests taken after the completion of training) are combined, so they're all trained in hematology-oncology, though it's quite normal for a doctor to limit his normal practice to one or the other.
