Same issue. I wore the clipon ponytails for a while last fall and winter. I have shoulder length hair now. Not as much wear and tear since I wasn't curling it all the time and causing breakage.

Make sure you trim the ends at least every six weeks. Not much, just enough to keep your hair healthy and it does promote re-growth. Along with a good conditioner and a treatment once a week, you should have long locks in no time.

All the best. Its hard work willing hair to grow.

Trim your ends every 6 weeks. No chemicals, including semi-perm dyes. Sew in Weaves are great they take the stress off your strands, make sure the braids are not to tight. Keep your scalp clean and make sure you use oil on your scalp w/ the weave. Try to keep from using direct heat on your hair. If you blow dry it, don't use the attachments (a rubber tip brush is better). The direct heat tends to dry the hair out. Wool Hats in the winter are not your Friends, make sure to put a scarf under the hat. I hope that helps!

i got on here a couple of months ago and was looking up answers to this

here are the best answers i found -

drink juice that is high in vitamin C - like orange juice daily
drink milk daily
spread mayo through your hair, let it sit for 15 mins, then rinse it out
only wash your hair if it really needs it - maybe twice a week?
only brush your hair if you really need to and when u do don't rip through it roughly

i did all of these things and honestly my hair has grown almost 5 inches in the past month

don't trim your hair really often because this is just a myth - your hair is dead protein that leaves the body and all cutting it is doing is shortening it

The key to growing your hair is by moisturizing your ends, you need to moist them daily. You can use hair lotions such as Doo Gro, Profectiv and other hair care products.Although I think the best time to moisturize your hair is at nights, so what I usually do is comb my hair down, then wrap piece by piece using the lotion as I'm wrapping it and put on my satin cap before I go to bed. It doesnt have to be a cap, it could be a scarf, but it needs to be satin because the material is soft so it wont break your ends. By constantly wrapping your hair at nights your training it to become managable each time, and it helps extends your perm if you do perm your hair.

the best way to grow your hair longer and faster is getting it trimed every 6 weeks. that will help your hair to grow faster. some style tips are to add moose and hair spray. that will help to hold your hair together. if you curl it or straighten it, that will look good. good luck

hmm i have thick long hair but i keep it up all the time

as for growing -- get the dead ends cut and it grows faster... i dont know why but it does

also if you use Tail and Mane CONDITIONER that will work -- its horse conditioner that they use on prized horses.. its save for human hair if you dont use the shampoo -- the shampoo strips it -- but the conditioner is full of vitamins... put it in your hair and brush it alot and then rinse it out and do that and it should grow :)

Eh, I don't think so. Comb it everyday though, often. Maybe 2 or 3 times a day. My mom always told me that when you cut your hair and when it grows.. it grows longer and faster. >_<; I don't know if thats true.

This may sound crazy but it does work.
If you want your hair to grow more quickly, trim or have it cut right after the new moon.
If you want your hair to grow slowly, trim or have it cut right after the full moon.
From the Farmer's Almanac.
From personal experience.
