Watch my mathematic reasoning:
Zach
zelda=zach+20
zilma=zach+20+13=zach+33
zeb=zach+50
I suppose tht zebra has the closest strips to zelda's own number.So zelda=57-13=44
zelda=zach+20,44=zach+20,zach=24
zeb=24+50=74
zilma=24+33=57,so zilma is zebra and the above sentence is true because zilma is placed exactly near to zelda.(I was stuck many times.To tell u the truth I didn't know if there would exist an answer if I didn't take as granted tht zebra is closer to zelda..Mathematicians should answer tht)
So
zach=24
zelda=44
zilma=57
zeb=74 and the difference between the first and the last is indeed 50 stripes.(I hadn't noticed tht before!!!!!!!!)
My reasoning is wrong..boohoohoo.Because their sum gives 199.Shame.Ok I've tried hard...I can get no other solution...I would mostly agree with cool dude.It was my first decision.surely zach has less than 57 stripes,as no zebra has more than 100 and the difference between the highest and the lowest is 50.(57+50=107).But why not 40 instead of fifty?It is smaller than 57 and If we make as small addition(summary) we will find out tht the total sum of the zebras' stripes will still be over 200 as it was when zach had 50.So the only thing tht can get me out of a scrape is the problem to have no solution..Hehe!!I will copy the above test at the greeks' field,if permitted.I hope sbdy will give me an answer.
