I need to find free pictures that are not copyrighted?

where do i look or what do i put into the search engine to find these pictures?

i work with children and they are entering a photo contest and are using both their own pictures and images from other sources so thank you to those who are not making a big deal as i know i can look up images and scan or upload but i was just looking for a specific type..... I

Flickr.com (another Yahoo Site) features quite a few images which are released under a Creative Commons license, which will allow you to use them them freely.
