It's annoying and I was wondering if there's a specific reason?

This is yeast, mold etc. growing on you from a contaminated shower. Get some tinactin spray in the can. After you dry off, spray this on the areas that itch. This should stop the itching rather quickly.
To permanently solve the problem, you need to scrub down your bathroom with bleach. You also need to bleach your towels by adding a SMALL amount of bleach to the water as you wash them in hot water.

I would try a moisturizing body wash, sounds like whatever you're using is too dry, you might also be allergic to it!
