People never question why they would have faith, only if they have it or not.

People tell me they believe in this and they believe that. Of course this is all lacking in evidence. Not looking from the evidence portion of religion (non-existent), can you explain why you would or do have faith?

For me it was built slowly, by being reinforced over and over and over until there was no doubt.

Faith is, to me, just another word for "dreams" and "hope" and "belief", and those are just words to describe emotions or moral understanding that I have developed as a human living an experience. I don't question why I have emotions and I don't need "proof" or "reasoning" to explain that I exist.

I know that all people are born with an amount of faith but our teachings and environment as children play a big part in its outcome.

And then there are those given/chosen by GOD with great faith.

As my belief increase so does my faith. as my experience i ncreases so does my faith.

To hell with faith, faith is for dumb people. Personally I KNOW God is real, because of everything created and First hand communication.

The Spirit of truth, that is why.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

The word "again" (anothen) in Greek means "from above", so born from above.

John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

We all are born of the flesh and water, the womb. You must be born from above or the Spirit. God's Word is His Spirit. I pray that helps you. Sow to your spirit by studying His Word which is God's Spirit.

KEEP MY WORDS
John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

NOTICE; WE will come, make OUR abode with him.

well personally I'd say that I do not have "Faith".

I have Trust, and Understanding.

the difference? my "beliefs" are based on personal experiences and "revelations" instead of just accepting what I was told.

I think that kids do what their parents say is right. If your parents are jewish they want you to be jewish too. If ur parents r christian then they want u to be christian. Some people have it lucky and get to choose. But overall eveyryone does what they're parents say is right.
