2 theories:
1. After Adam sinned everything became corrupted, the air, weather, blood ,food , and so on. Before this the gene pool was flawless. Remember God said that if you eat the forbidden fruit you will surly die-Adam and Eve started dying that day. Before this there was no dying at all.

2. Before the flood there was a canopy of water over the earth (see Genesis 1:6-8) that kept out harmful radiation. It was like a "greenhouse". The average person lived 912 years before the flood. At the beginning of the flood the canopy fell to the earth, and exposed all the inhabitants to radiation that caused harmful mutations. After the average life span fell over few hundred years down to 175 years for Abraham ( who possibly knew one of Noah's sons), then down to 120 for Moses.
Today 120 years is almost unheard of.

THE LIFE SUSTAINING EARTH WAS LOST IN THE FLOOD
Adam and Eve with Satan in the garden of Eden, lost eternal life for all, Adam age 930 and 70 years short of his first day, died in the day he sinned. Even after Adam and being born in sin, thay had near 1000 years life in the life sustaining earth.

Adam to #10 son Noah in the genealogy as Abraham is #20, David is #34, Jeconias is #48, of Jesus as #62 in genealogy. Noah is #10 and age 600 at the flood year.
Gen.5:3,6,9,12,15,21,25,28 = 1056 Noah born Gen.7:6; Noah age 600 at Flood year.
Noah lives 350 years after the flood. Gen.9:28,29;
Shem lives 502 years after the flood. Gen.11:10,11;
Abraham dies 25 years later after Shem, at age 175. 527 after flood. Gen.25:7,9;
Rev.20:1-6 [ No Satan for 1000 years ]; The heavenly firstfruits in new heavens coming down out of heaven from God Rev.3:12; Heb.12:22-24; John 6:39,40,44;
John 14:3; Michael of Jude 9; and Dan.12:1-13; with holy angels did cast satan and unholy angels down and Satan had a short time in the 8th world Empire to the pit ;
Now he is in the pit.
The offsprings of Adam get there 1000 year day.

Because you can't no one can its just a story, i doubt a 500 year old man (noah) can have 3 kids with his wife all the sudden.
Growth rates have gone lower since bc and then suddenly rising near 1000 ad
like in bc romans the max age a average person could live to was 24 then as time went by it went up.
Today it depends where they are and what they eat two japanese ladies i heard are 122 years old

Since the time of the flood, mankind has had a shorter life span. Back then they had to live for longer to learn about things to pass onto their children, repent, have bigger families to populate the earth etc. Also the health of both the people and the earth was better, so they lived longer.

BEcause somewhere in the first few chapters of the old testament God gets PO'd at Abraham or somebody and limits the human lifespan to about 120 years.

Its in the Noah story, God flooded the Earth because so many people were wicked. After he flooded it he said he isnt going to let people to be as old as before.
I believe its because the longer people live the wicked they get for the most part.
Thats on religion answer.
World answer because we eat to much junk food and unhealthy things.

Because the Bible is not as accurate as people would have you think. Adam and Eve didn't really live for hundreds of years...but in the bible they did and people believe every word of it. Please people, open your eyes and don't believe everything people tell you
