Islam itself is peaceful. Don't assume some Iraqis or Palestinians speak for Islam. Should I judge Christianity based on how warmongering or racist the US is? The religion itself calls for peace and tolerance of your neighbor, judge Islam based on your own reading of the texts, and you'll see the inherent goodness in Islam and how its roots tie into Christianity and Judaism.
The real Muslims are out there running soup kitchens and going to the mosque for prayer. Did you know that "radical" Muslims admit to going to the mosque less frequently than moderates? There's over 1.5 Billion Muslims worldwide, how come you never hear about violence in Muslim countries like Malaysia or Senegal?
Bangladesh is one of the largest Muslim countries in the world, with a woman prime minister, it's a pretty peaceful country. You're like someone afraid of airplanes because you only hear about ones that crash, despite the fact that there are millions of flights a year.

Islam is peaceful.
Give me proof from the Quran or from the hadithes that prove Islam is a hateful, violent religion.
You will find none.
Just because there are people who claim to be Muslims and blow themselves up, it doesn't mean the religion is corrupt.
If that is the case, then I can say that all Christians are child-molestors. Right?
Let me explain to you what jihad really is.
Jihad means to struggle or strive in Arabic. Jihad can only be done in a state of self-defense. The terrorists you see on the news obviously break this rule and therefore are not performing jihad. Also, when the enemy stops fighting, you must immediately stop fighting as well as stated in the Quran. Women, children, and the elderly cannot be harmed. Trees cannot be cut/burned and booty cannot be taken.
Once again, you cannot judge a religion off of its followers. If that's the case, Christianity preaches child-molestation, starting crusades, and being racist (KKK).

Islam is a very peaceful religion. But the Qu'ran says protect your family and property because it is considered sacred. So they will fight for that and clearly that is what is going on. Look at the bigger picture and learn what the Catholics did to them in the 13th century and you may understand why they are still at war. This is a very old war. America is very very very young that's why we have no history as far as the civil war really. So research and you may respect Muslims more as a whole. Don't believe the media which is controlled by GWB....

Being born in Iran , my experience of Islam is nothing but war and hate . If anyone wants to know the real meaining of beautiful Islamic laws just take a trip to Iran , then I am gonna ask you again how peaceful this religion is . Islam is ruining our lives . Islam is a danger for every society . Islam supports KKKS and Nazis and they proved it by the conferece they had a few days ago .

Well, I suppose Christianity speaks for itself then as well, doesn't it? Because I'll tell you, it's not peaceful either. As much as the Christians like to say it is.
There are very few peaceful religions in the world. Just crazy nutcase followers that like to claim they're peaceful.

Islam is peaceful. Everyone in Islam isn't but the religion itself is. Don't judge the book by its cover.
