What exactly is a landing strip?

"Managed" would probably best describe my preference. Shaved is nice, waxed is better, and a generous landing strip can work wonders. Totally bare is too much, and I'd rather not have to take hedge clippers with me for an intimate encounter.
(A "landing strip" typically refers to a cultivated pubic hair pattern in which much of the pubic hair is removed, leaving only a central vertical line or rectangle.)

I prefer the "female entrance area" to be neatly trimmed but not shaved.
