His name is Hippie, that is not a judgement on my part. He insist we all call him Hippie. AND we do tell him to please shut-up and go to work or go home.

I've tried to fire him, he keeps coming to work. We are electrical contractors. Really!

Hahahaha. Where do you work?

Crazy bums are the worst. I assume he must be doing something right though or he wouldn't work there.

Give him some paint and maybe he'll get stuck in a corner.

And good luck!

If you have honestly fired him and he still returns to work, DON'T pay him!

If you stop paying him he probably won't work for free. If he still shows up, perhaps the company should consider a card entry system so he cannot enter the office. Also, since you are contractors, do not let him in any company vehicle.

If he is still coming around, get a restraining order so that it is a police matter.

It wouldn't be difficult...you just need to fire him because some people only learn through the hard way.

It would be good if his supervisor could discuss with him his inappropriate behaviour before taking further actions. Get him to sign on an acknowledgement letter after the discussion. If this guy refuses to heed his supervisor's advice, then fire him. It'll be easy because he had already been warned previously of his unacceptable behaviour at work.

You're not describing a hippie.

You ARE being harsh, "would eat a booger... is a body on the job..." Maybe he's reacting to the hatred you project onto him. I think you should turn the problem over to someone who has some insight and compassion, or go develop some yourself.

Tell him to shut up, and straighten up. If he keeps on messing up FIRE HIM and hire someone else.
