God couldn't care less what we do.

No. we don't.
There is no "Oh, my," -- God knew exactly what He would need to do to save His creation, even before He created it. He knew He would need to send His Son, and He knew full well what His Son was going to have to do. And He still went through with it all.
So why bother? Why create those ungrateful wretches (that would be you and me) in the first place?
Something God has said repeatedly (read just the last couple chapters of the book of Job, for example) is that we do not know His mind -- We just don't get it. Fact is, we *can't* get it -- His mind is so beyond anything you or I can think, it would be far easier to play Halo on an old abacus.
God is not surprised. He never was. And He has *always* paid attention. But He knows better than us, so whatever is planned must be pretty amazing.

NO NO NO. Christianity teaches that, but the Bible doesn't. How can you say that? Where can you show me in the Bible that God was ever surprised about anything?
Eph 1:11 "in whom we have also obtained an inheritance being pre destined according to the purpose of HE WHO WORKS ALL THINGS AFTER THE COUNCIL OF HIS OWN WILL."
Notice when the Lord came to the Pharaoh in a dream because the Pharaoh was attracted to Abraham's wife, he told the Lord that he did not know that it was his wife but thought it was his sister, the Lord said that he knew that he didn't know and that was why the Lord didn't MAKE HIM TRY TO TAKE ABRAHAM'S WIFE. The examples are endless, God has never been, nor will ever be taken by surprise, because man doesn't have FREE WILL.
Here is a website that talks about these things a little more, you should check it out. www.bibletruths.com, and www.saviour-of-all.com

Bull if you had went to Church that much during your child hood and young adult hood you wouldn't be an Atheist now. Neither would you have left out so much of the Bible between the Flood and Jesus Christ. You must have red only the first few chapters and the last. Go back and read the entire Bible and quote it word for word and they won't accuse you of taking it out of context. xx

like the first person said; He's dissapointed, not at all surprised. God knows all the possibilities that could happen, and unfortunately to God's dismay, we have chosen the negative, sinful possibilities.
Stick with Jesus, and ask people that know more than you about the Bible so they can explain it better to you. If you lean on your own understanding, you might interpret something wrong and then get dissapointed becuase you wernt able to interpret correctly.

Evidently god is not required to make sense because he is just so swell that he's beyond all human understanding. He's also so supremely intelligent, that we often mistake him for being a really, stupid critter. But that of course is just our human failings. However, if we want to bash and hate other people, we are immediately imbued with the knowledge of god's mind.
That's just the way christianity works. It's not what I want, it's what god wants.:-)

We all have free will right? Maybe God intended all of us to follow a certain path at first but man took advantage of his free will and strayed from a set course. It makes life pretty interesting if everything is unpredictable and yet we can follow a current- our hearts if you will. God is surprised because he doesn't take anything for granted and hopes that we don't do all the evil that we do.

Do you think perhaps these things HAD to occur in order for us to see that God can do anything... I don't know about you, but when I hear about the whole world (with exception of Noah) being wiped out, that gives me more faith that my God can do anything He pleases....
Of course He knew it was going to happen......but He won't intervene to contradict your free will.

No He isn't. He knows the future but gives us the choice to choose that future. Just because we know that the American Revolution was successful that doesn't mean that it was destined to turn out that way. Also, try not to understand God's nature, it is beyond us.

I don't think that god is surprised by our actions, more like disappointed, you see we all have choices to make, some of us make the wrong ones, I should say that all of us have made wrong choices in are lives

where in the bible does it say that God knows everything and even the future? You've been listening to your preacher again, haven't you, instead of reading the book yourself? Your parents should be charged with abuse for forcing you to go to church that often instead of letting you play outside.
