My 1984 K Car. Sold it for $656,721,895.99 on E-Bay
Actually, there is a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, that was bought from a private collector by Rolls, to put back in their own museum. It was the first of it's kind, and sold for what was said to be an undisclosed record amount. Only Guinness Book, Rolls, and the owner know the amount, and it won't be divulged until the record is broken.
Estimated at $25 million.

The most expensive new "production" car you can buy is the Bugatti Veyron at about $1.25 million.
The most expensive vehicle sold at auction was a 1931 Bugatti Type 41 Royale Sports Coupe - sold for £5.5 million by Christie's in the late 1980s. That's about $10.8 million today, but was "only" about $6.6 million back then.
A 1939 Auto Union D-Type, thought to be one of only two in existence, and created by Ferdinand Porsche after a personal request from Adolph Hitler, is scheduled to be auctioned in February, 2007 and is expected to be the new record-holder. Estimates are all over the radar screen, up to £17 million. There's little doubt that it will top the £5.5 million for the '31 Butatti Royale.

Was that a car sold during the production run, or sold later at an auction? If I remember right, it was a 1950's "Motorama" coach sold just recently. I can't remember the price, but at the time, it was called the most expensive.
