In what state were you born?
What year?
I think the REAL truth is that your parents smuggled you into the US when you were a little child. Now you are stuck with either getting caught and sent back to a country you do not know (unfortunately, it happens too often! ) or forever living in fear of getting caught.
Unfortunately, illegal aliens seem to have no regard for the truth and are willing to lie if it benefits them.
So what you are really wanting is for us to help you falsify documents to present to immigration, go somewhere else please (like your home country - it is not our fault, it is your parent's fault).

You know, if you are scared of being identified, you can call the government vital statistics department or the Immigration department from a pay phone and tell your story and your concerns and see what they can suggest. However, I also read your next question regarding this and it sounds to me as though you are not really 100% certain that you were, in fact, born in the USA. If so, I doubt very much that you are alone in this dilemma. This is another very good reason why I am so very much AGAINST illegal immigration - it is so unfair to the innocent children and it is the parents who are in the wrong - not the USA. You are very right to be concerned with getting your residency established because you are very insecure until you do this. In fact, you are basically in limbo until you do this. If I were you, I would be relentless in getting documentation regarding your birth and your legal status in the USA. Do not let this slide because it is probably the most important thing you will ever do for yourself. This will determine whether you can have post-secondary education in the USA, whether in fact you can even legally work in the USA, and certainly whether you have the moral right to engage in romantic relationships with American women and have children in the USA. For the sake of your future and that of your future spouse and children, get this straightened out asap!

I'm sorry about your situation but I'm afraid you may want to consult with a legal referral service for this one. Despite what some of the comments say, it is possible to attend school without a birth certificate in some states. You are right to be cautious in who your approach.
Check with the local bar association to see if there are pro bono (free) immigration lawyers on staff that they can refer you to. If they only have paid consultations, try not to pay more than $35 - 150 for a consultation.
You may find some of the articles found at http://www.millermayer.com/resources/generalcont.htm interesting.
Good luck to you and yours.

If you were born in this country, then there are records of your birth somewhere. Contact the hospital you were born at or the state you were born in. They will have the information you need. If you have a social security number, then there is a birth certificate somewhere.

Oh common now your story lost all credibility when you mentioned that you went to school here. This means you do have a birth cirtificate from some country. Quit trying to make yourself legal by using illegal avenues in which to do so.

If you went to school then it seems logical that you have a social security number... most public schools require students to have ssn's when enrolling. You should contact the social security department and get a social security card (if you don't have one) and then try and allocate your birth certificate.
If you have I.D. in america then you should have some other form of indetification.

Do you have baptism records or a family Bible or other religious text that records your birth? How in the world did you manage to go to school without a birth certificate? Gather all your records and speak to an attorney.

The hospital you were born in has to have the records,or at least the county courthouse in that county you were born.
