Girls-Is This Strange?

The girl Im going out with has this thing where she tells me that I would look good together with a certain girl.Not a celibrity but certain girls we know.Then she goes into detail saying because our skintones match and other different things.I thought maybe she wasnt interested in me and trying to push me away but she said theat was like this with her exboyfriend of 8 years who she has a kid with.I cant imagine her with another guy let alone telling her she would look good with someone else.I've never met a girl nor have any of my friends who did this.My family is mostly female and they have never done this or any of my female friends with their boyfriends.She tells me that she cant believe I think thats strange.What does she want me to say?"Ya I think shes hot too"?She told me that it would hurt her if I was interested in another girl or checking someone out though.Its not like shes thinking of us making out,she says.She is definitely different.I dunno,what do you girls think?

Yes, I believe this is strange. If your girlfriend loved you, she would accept your relationship, and not compare your relationship. It is very strange, and you need to be very upfront about it. Next time she says something like that, you should do the same. Compare her with another certain guy, and see her reaction. If she doesn't like it, you should let her know that you don't either. If she can't stop comparing you with others, than you should tell her that pretty soon you will be with one of those girls if she doesn't stop. And ask her, if she thinks you would be better off with another girl, than why is she hanging around with you?

RUN AWAY!

This girl just seems to scream all sorts of issues. First of all, you don't want to get mixed up with someone who has a kid. That's drama right there that you shouldn't have to deal with.

The other thing is... why would *any* sane girl do this? It sounds to me like she's looking for drama and likes to instigate all sorts of problems.

There's a LOT of awesome people out there. Don't settle on this crazy one :)

I think maybe she is so confident and secure with you she can picture things like that without having to get jealous, as to why she does it, she's a girl, she probably just likes thing to match and can put her colors together well, which would actually lead to a promising career in fashion or interior design of some sort.I bet she likes "pretty" things.

ok well maybe she's just very obervent of the world and likes matching i mean i do that its fun! but i dont know i would do that with my boyfriend i mean with friends yeah but uhhh??? well i dont think shes stopped loving you and maybe you shouldn't worry so much i mean if you love her try and let it pass if some compication arrises then talk to her im sure you guys can get through it! good luck

i think she is trying to get u to confess to liking another girl(if you do).... i mean by her telling u that you would look good with jane for example shes waiting to hear "ya, we would eh?" u know she just wants to see how committed u are to her and stuff! thats wat i think anyways, why dont u just start saying "hey i think u and bob would look good together because uboth haver the same eye and hair colour" see how she reacts... u got to throw a little reverse phycology at her!

YOu should threaten her. Just say ok well lets go see how this will work. Then see what she says.thats one way to find out if she is trying to get rid of you.
