I know you can use the broiler but I was just curious about baking?

Sizzle them with a high heat in a frying pan only enough to give them color. Put a slice of onion on each one and wrap in foil. Place on the center rack of the oven. Slow cook at 225 degrees for about an hour. Tender and yummy. You can also sprinkle spices of your choice on the meat before you bake. I like to use pepper and a touch of garlic powder.

Baking steaks are not reccomended, It would totally dry the meat out. If you can't grill or pan fry, then broiling is the best! Nobody wants to ruin a nice ribeye.

Never bake a steak, it just dries out the meat. Broiler or grilling are the two other choices, grilling is the best.

"Normy in Garden City" has a good one, but that is more for a roast I think.

The point of doing a good steak is to get the outer temp warmer than the inner, an over will do it evenly and you will be consuming leather.
Grilling is your best bet for something as nice as a ribeye.
