My youngest boys 8 and 11 year boys old spent the night at my Mom's this weekend. My Sister's boys also spent the night too. My sisters kids are 4 and 7. I found out today that my mom had all the kids take a bubble bath togther in their big soaker tub, and yes they were all nude.

My kids both told me they had fun, but is this something I should address with my mom or let it go? I very rarely bathe my kids together anymore unless we are really pressed on time.

Maybe not the 11 year old, but i don't see the big deal. It's just a bath. They had fun. it's ok. I used to take a bath with my best friend( at the time) when I was younger and we weren't blood related at least these kids are. Don't say anything. Good Luck

No big deal here. She is grandma and the boys are all related .. The only thing I would have done differently is maybe leave the 11 year old out. They had fun and its not somethign that is going to happen all the time. They didnt make a weird video or anything its just family kids having a happy moment.

Good lord! It is just nudity people! Why are we Americans so damn uptight about the human body? I mean seriously! God forbid kids should take a bath together but never mind all the nudity slapped all over magainzes and television. THAT kind of nudity is okay. *rolls eyes* We live in Japan where community bath houses are the norm. This means that people of all ages go to a community bath house for the purpose of bathing. Most bath houses are seperated but there are a few that are not. I take my boys to one that is seperated but because they are with me they go in with me. Everyone is naked. There are old women, women my age and other kids. Guess what? My kids don't stare or think anything of it at all. As far as they are concerned it is completely normal. Why shouldn't they think that? It is!! Why turn something natural and normal into a taboo thing? Your kids will only see it that way because you make it that way.

their all boys, their all young, what the problem? as long as their ok with it, whats the problem?

if your 11 year old feels uncomfortable then he can be done seperatly, but other then thats, i see no issues

when my twins where born i used to bath them with their brothers - they where 4 and 7 i think, or possible 5 and 8 i am not sure and i did it till the eldest was 9 and the next one was 6 and the twins where 1 and i couldnt fit them in the bath.

trust me - its all innocent at that age, even at 11 its all just a bit of fun

If your children didn't seem bothered by it I wouldn't worry. After all they are all boys and they will have to go to the locker room someday. If your 11 year old was uncomfortable I would say something to your mom, even a heads up because he will be a teenager soon and I know I wouldn't like that. I would also reassure your boys that it is OK to say no if they are not comfortable with something no matter what it is. Good Luck.

The eleven year old is the only one I'd be concerned about. It's so hard to tell mom's not to do something - my mom is so defensive when she babysits for me. I think I'd say something like, "The pediatrician recommends that boys stop bathing with others at age 8-9" Tell her you don't think this one time was any big deal, but next time they should wear suits, or not bathe together. Good luck!

maybe not the 11 year old.... but 4 7 and 8 are fine to all bathe together. ID draw the line at 8 year olds of if ur children felt uncomfortable. Tell the children that if theu dont want to bathe together to tall grandma no. I dont think any harm was ment, let it go.

That sounds pretty old to be bathing together, but theyre all the same sex, so its not as big a deal.

Come highschool they'll be showering with a class full of nude boys. These are relatives, and theyre children.

My cousins and I bathed together until we were 12, but we were all girls.

Its not common place these days, but for many generations it was.

If you're uncomfortable with it, you should tell your mother, theres nothing wrong with setting limits on things like this. You're making choices as a mother for the benefit of your children.

Just dont chastize her, she wasnt trying to be inappropriate. This sort of thing was very common in families that grew up early in the century, and it was probably normal for her growing up.

With kids at that age I really don't see anything wrong with it,I would just talk to my kids about not letting people touch their privates if that is what you are worried about.I'm sure they don't even think anything of it,I know when I was growing up my girl cousins and my friends and I would take baths together and never thought twice about it.I would ask them how they felt about it and if it made them uncomfortable then I would have a talk with mom,

I wouldnt sweat it specially cuz they are all boys. Just think in a couple of years they will be sharing the locker room with un related teenagers. I have a 2yr old daughter and 4 yr old son and they get baths together.... Does that make me a bad mother?
