I go to visit my Dad at night for the first time in a while (I mostly go in day time). Well, these residents where running in and out of each others rooms all night long, they are having sex with each other. I went back the next day to speak to the head nurse and she said she knows they do this but there was nothing she can do. After some questioning I found out what they do, they each put their false teeth in two buckets (Men & Women) then they each pick a set and that's who you get to have sex with that night...how shaeful, some of these people are 85-90 years old. As I walked with Dad down the hall he yells at some old lady and say's...you wanna walk the monkey??....what does that mean??

wow....even if that isn't true it's probably the funniest thing i have read all day...this beats the guy that wants his wife to pay for the things that he broke when he was mad!
what would I do? laugh, pat your dad on the back and congratulate him for his stamina and leave them to their thing

People of all ages have sex drives. Since this is a retirement village and not a nursing home, I don't think that you can do anything about consenting adults. If it is a nursing home situation, then some or all of the residents are not in the right minds and then it should be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Despite the fact that as our parents grow older we feel that we need to take care of them (and this is a good thing). What we have to remember is that they are all consenting adults. I don't think that this is necessarily a healthy thing for them to be doing, in fact I think it's down right wrong, & I'M SHOCKED & appalled, I still don't have the right to try to end to it.
At the end of the day it is his choice to participate in these events or not. What you might want to check into & see is if the nurses are helping this out at all or if any of the elders are feeling pressured for sex for the others. And those to situations you have every right & responsibility to bring an end to it. But as of right now you are somewhat limited. You can try checking the rules of the home & what they say about these kinds of things. I'd encourage you to talk to your dad about it.

I would report it to someone highter up! This isn't safe for any one,let alond people in the rest home. Who knows whant they are passing on. And not only to each other but to the family and freinds that visit. I would contact the head of the rest home or call the better bussiness, or health department!! TODAY!!

Listen, if this is indeed true, let them be. what harm are they doing, they are having a little fun in a situation that is not the best. Thank God that their spirits are high and they can still enjoy sex, they may be old but they are not dead. Let them have fun, that's all they have...be happy for them. As for me, what would I do, let them have fun life is short and they are making the best of the situation. Good Luck and chill out your dad will be okay.

I guess they are lucky they are agile enough to engage in these weird sexual forays at their age.
I see little you can do about it. People have their rights. You could educate others about it.
It seems far-fetched. I worked in a nursing home for a short time, and many of the residents were in wheelchairs and/or had difficulty in walking.

Your Dad is havin a fantastic time there by the sound of it. Let him enjoy it while it lasts. Retirement homes are pretty much the end of the line as far as life is concerned, joy in whatever form must be cherished.

I would either move my parent or report the facility to a state agency. Where are the night time employees... why are they allowing this to happen... As the owner been notified as to what's going on... Something definately needs to be done and now.
