Of course England exists.
It's just that you can't see it.

About 2 years ago, in the middle of the night, a big crane picked up half of Asia, and dumped it on top of England.

England exists, it's just not an individual political entity. The government you vote for represents the entire UK.

As for your own identity... It's what you make of it. If you consider yourself English, then you are English, as far as I'm concerned.

People say that England does not have a strong identity. I would disagree - looking from outside, what most people think of as 'British' is actually 'English'. The strongest facet of English identity, as I can see, is the ability to absorb and improve itself constantly - just look at how the language evolves. This has been a mongrel country since its creation, and long may that continue.

I was there a few times - think it is on that small island to the east of Ireland. Sorry about that!

Local Regional Government should mean England Wales Scotland and Northern Ireland all emerge as countries in their own right again.

Hope the cricket gets better in the third test.

I lot of the folks that were adventure minded came to the USA through the centuries.
For us in America it will always be England.
However, at present it appears to fast be becoming a Muslim nation. The English just do not go to church so the Muslims will end up in the church buildings worshipping-- and also running the whole goverment within 20 years.

Yes it's strange. People can put Welsh, Scottish or Irish on things but it's like there's a ban on England and being English. I don't care about politics. If I was born here and live here why can't I say I'm English? I'm not stopping the Scots from being Scottish or the Welsh from being Welsh. If that's what they want tehn fair play to them - but let me be English!

England? Where's that?

Have you not seen a current UK passport? It is in Welsh and Gaelic as well as English.

England is in any case only one country within the UK, as some people are only just discovering.
