It was a total waste of money, because the enquiry would have come up with the accident verdict whether it was an accident or not. Personally, I think it was an accident, but unlike several people here I don't know, because I wasn't at the crash or at the enquiry. Obviously, those here who claim they KNOW it was murder were there at the time?
A more important question - who cares anyway?

The inquiry was the result of the due process of the Royal Coroner's inquest. Any coroner has the power to order an investigation if the death occurred in suspicious or strange circumstances. That is what happened. The R Coroner would not have been meeting his duties and responsibilities if he had not commissioned the inquiry.

let me get this instantly. there replaced into the French inquiry. Then the those days-concluded British inquiry. Now you want a international inquiry? who's to say that the end results of a international inquiry will be any extra proper to you than those which have already been achieved? I believe you on one aspect: let the harmful female relax in peace.

As far as Im aware the government commisioned the enquiry, as usual bowing to what they saw as public pressure, about time the whole thing was dropped forgotten about etc but these people that believe that it was somehow a a conspiracy will never be satisfaied they will only call this latest enquiry a white wash, a complete waste of money.

She was a very prominent UK citizen and it doesn't surprise me they wanted to have their own inquest. There would have been many in the UK who would never have accepted the conclusion of a another country (it sounds like Dodi's family never will). I'm sure Diana would much rather have seen the money used to help victims of aids or in land mine eradication.

This is my answer short and sweet. It was MURDER no if or buts. The Inquiry should be done by an independent committee, not someone who works for the Royal family or Government.

Any other conclusion would bring down the House of Winsor and maybe the government. It was a waste of time and money.
Conspiracy or not we have to accept it. We will never know the truth.

It was a total waste of money. How can people be expected to believe the findings of the enquiry when it was being run by the very people that they think had her killed. I personally don't believe she was murdered but there will always be people that do
