Can the Asean members produce their own currency like Europe's Euro? eg the Asean dollars?

Yes, they could. They have an equivalent status to the EU. Check out this interview with the Japanese Prime Minister. It is apparently a concern, especially for China. Hope that helped!

We don't need to because in an individual currency, we could see where we stand among other ASEAN.

They can if they are wiliing to grow as a region. The asean countries such as Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand should initiate this to be happened. It would be wonderful.
