I dated this girl in the past and the timing was off as she had come out of a two year relationship, and she was not ready for another relationship to start so quickly. We had been good friends for over 2 year, but not talked in the last 6 months.

Start up a conversation. Make it casual. Let her take the lead for once as not to rush her into something she may retaliate against you for. Read between the lines. There are an innumerable amount of hints left in a woman’s tracks. You’ll find your answer there. Just make sure you don’t read the wrong ones. If all goes well, then just bite the bullet with “I think we should go out on a date to check it out.”

I think you should give her more time. You woudn't want to be the rebound would you? Otherwise it might feel like she's continuing where she had left off in her old relationship.

Write her an email letter or send a nice letter in stationery. She surely could still be interested in you too. I guess if destiny brought you together, nothing would keep you from getting back together.

best way to ask an old girlfriend out is to.....ask a potential new girlfriend out and forget about the old one.......it's like slamming your hand in a car door man, one time is enough!!!!!
